My Story
Hi! I'm Amelia. I started Daphne’s Playcations while attending college (criminal justice) in Lethbridge. My plan was to be a K9 officer and train police dogs.
I started working with trainers and daycare centres to find best practices, and discovered my love of working with dogs didn't have to end with the police force! After a few more years in Lethbridge, honing my skills and mentoring under some of the top trainers in North America, and Alberta's leading Service Dog Trainer, I moved my business to Calgary, where I was raised and Daphne's Playcations grew into Playcation Pet Care.
Now, I have my dream career: I work with animals. I do group walks six days a week, drop ins daily (as needed) and training in the evenings and weekends. Pet care is my passion, my career and how I support my family!
I have specialized skills and training in pet CPR/First Aid, safe snake and reptile handling, salt and freshwater fish maintenance and care, and have casual handlers who specializes in exotic birls!
